What keeps me pushing to release music is the drive I see in my friends and fellow producers who share the same passion for Jungle. Antares and I have known each other for nearly three decades, and we’ve both experienced the highs and lows of the music world. But underground soldiers remain true to the original ethos: DIY, no corporate control—just real music from the heart. When I asked Antares about his latest release with our camp (his previous being on parent label, Force Recordings), here’s what he had to say:

“My Darkness was a new approach of producing for me. I truly wanted to dive deeper into creating atmospheres that you could close your eyes and be taken away into a distant land. The immediate feeling of something serious…or potentially dire happening…and then as the song progresses a sense or relief or release of the dark into a lighter feeling. The last portion of the song progresses into a string section. A sigh…so to speak. I truly wanted to capture a range of emotions with this song. A contemplative song.

For ‘Control Your Mind’, it was an approach to get into the original groove of the main break used. From that point it wrote itself as the rhythm played out. The use of samples and chords in this are sparing, however, that was the intention when creating this one. Something that was minimal yet not too little to carry itself, if that makes sense. Building into the amen… the attempt here was to be an explosion of sorts…the peak of the song.”

We’re taking things back to the roots with a pure reference to the golden era, and a nod to the future by making 2025+ releases available available to all with Digital Downloads too <3
